• Come Together Hub is a community built by people who have been there.

We are a lived experience led organisation supporting people affected by addiction, poor mental health, homelessness, and isolation. Many of us know firsthand how hard it can be to ask for help and how powerful it is when someone truly understands.

We exist to create safe, welcoming spaces where people can show up as they are, without judgement or pressure. Spaces where connection comes first, and recovery is something we walk through together.

  • “We believe in a future where lived experience transforms lives and communities. By connecting people through purpose, connection, and a social model of recovery, we break down stigma, end isolation, and build a society where everyone has the chance to heal, belong, and thrive”

  • DescriptiLived experience isn’t a buzzword for us, it’s the foundation of everything we do. Our staff, volunteers, and Hub members bring real understanding shaped by their own journeys. That shared experience builds trust, honesty, and connection in a way that can’t be taught in a textbook. It means people don’t have to explain themselves. They are met with empathy, respect, and hope.

Testimonials

"Since moving to St Helen's in recovery housing about 10 month ago, I’ve volunteered with Come Together Hub with a variety of groups and can honestly say it’s the best move I made. I’ve met a lot of like minded people and made some great friends in doing so, and having daily groups to look forward to has made my transition in moving so much easier. Thank you come together hub" - Adam

" Through Come Together, I’ve completed several higher education courses, including Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, and Understanding Mental Health (Level 3). These achievements gave me the confidence to enrol in my current Level 3 Diploma in Counselling. My goal is to go on to university, gain a degree, and become a qualified counsellor" - Lisa

"In short, the Hub has transformed my life and allowed me to form great new friendships, including one who is now my carer. I would encourage anyone who is feeling isolated or has gone through some difficulties with their mental health, substance abuse, or trauma to go along to one of the groups: you will not be judged or criticised – you won’t even be offered advice unless you ask for it! And it’s never too late – I will be 69 in a few months" - Richard

"I have been attending and volunteering with Come Together Hub now for around 4 years. My life has completely changed over the course of those 4 years. Over the years I have been involved in all the groups and activities that Come Together Hub has to offer to the community. They provide me with routine and structure within my daily life, and they also give me a great sense of purpose within my life, coming from a place of crime, addiction and homelessness. To be able to give back to my local community and help others that have also gone through what I have been through is very rewarding. It has also helped me to look forward to my future and create a vision of hope and prospect" - Ryan
